Mark your calendars because you don’t want to miss this opportunity.
Dawnell Meyer will be our featured guest speaker at the September 4th Beaverton Support Group Meeting. Dawnell is the current Education and Training Administrator for the Oregon Department of Corrections. She will be covering current educational programs offered at various institutions throughout the state. Oregon CURE has been discussing making educational programming available to adults in custody through their personal TVs with the DOC for a while and we have asked Dawnell to speak on the prospect of this idea and its potential implementation.
The meeting will be held at the Beaverton City Library, address 12375 S.W. 5th Street, Beaverton, Oregon 97005, the first Wednesday of September, September 4, 2013. The evening will begin with the quarterly scheduled Intake Orientation from 5:30 to 7pm followed by the Support Group from 7pm to 8:30pm. Dawnell will present during the support group session.
