Prison Newsletters

One of the successes that came out of the October 2013 Oregon CURE meeting with the Oregon Department of Corrections is that Oregon CURE is on the email list for the prison newsletters.  At this point, we get consistent newsletters from several of the fourteen facilities in Oregon.  We will post these newsletters as we receive them and hope to see our list of institutions expand in time.  You can help by contacting the Public Information Officer at your institution. Note:  We have heard that adults who are in custody in these institutions might experience challenges in receiving the information contained in these newsletters, so we encourage you to share anything you find valuable with your family member in custody.

  1. Has there been any word on getting the EOCI newsletter? The current month is available on the prison’s website but I can’t find back issues anywhere.

    • We post the prison newsletters to our web site as we receive them from DOC. We know we do not receive them all but do ask for them so we can post them as they are a popular item for friends and families to read. Most institutions do not have their newsletters on their website so we cannot capture them there.
