T-Mobile Phone Issues

The following information was provided by the Oregon Department of Corrections.

There are issues with adults in custody (AICs) calling friends and family with T-Mobile and Boost phones. These calls cannot be answered or the receiver doesn’t know the call is coming in. T-Mobile believes this is part of their SPAM blocking service and recent policy change to not allow collect phone calls or prison phone calls. Below are two potential work-arounds for friends and family with T-Mobile and Boost phones need to take the following steps to unblock calls:

OPTION 1:

  • Call T-Mobile customer service and request the number associated with the prison to be removed from the spam blocked list.

(From their cell phone they can dial 611, or call 1-800-937-8997). The facility phone numbers are listed in the chart below.

OPTION 2:

  • Download the “Scam Shield App” from their T-Mobile phone, and add the number you wish to unblock. The facility phone numbers are listed in the chart below
